1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 tomatoes, finely chopped

2 green chilies chopped

1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

1 teaspoon salt

2-3 cups water

1 teaspoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon garlic paste

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon garam masala

3 cups water-Extra for the dough pieces to cook

1 lemon juice

1 pound beef/goat pieces (almost)1/2 kilogram -boil with 1 teaspoon  salt and 2 cups water till tender

Method-

Heat the oil in a large pot and fry the onions till light golden.

Add the tomatoes, ginger paste, garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala . Cook  for about 10 minutes on setting of 1 (for heat) till the tomatoes are soft and it becomes thick.

Add the boiled meat along with boiled lentils (daal).

Add 1/2 cup water

When it is well combined and the water has reduced, add the 3 cups water, salt and chopped coriander leaves.

Prepared Dough

Turn the prepared dough on floured surface. Make it into a log and make about 2-3 balls. Dust flour and roll out the dough into a round chapati about 1/8 of an inch. Cut diamond shapes, score it and keep aside on a floured surface.

Do the same with the two remaining dough balls. Refer to the picture below

When the curry base starts to boil drop the diamond shape dough into it care fully, one piece at a time. Try to put it in different sections of the pot to avoid build up in one place. Avoid stirring while putting the pieces.

Bring the curry base along with the dough pieces to boil and let it cook for about 25-30 minutes stirring carefully to avoid breaking the dough pieces.

Sprinkle the lemon juice, stir and serve.
