Onion Pakora

 Narrated ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab:

I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying, “The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for.” Sahih Al Bukhari 1

The pakora are very easy and quick especially when you crave savory. 

Ingredients

2 medium onions sliced lengthwise

1 potato peeled and cut into cubes

3-4 tablespoon coriander leaves ,chopped

2 green chillies chopped

2 tablespoon tandoori masala

1 cup chickpea flour (channa flour)

1 teaspoon salt

water to mix

Mix all the above to a thick batter which can be scooped using your fingers. Heat oil in a wok on medium heat.

Scoop about a tablespoon of batter using your fingers and pour into the fairly hot oil. Cook for a minute and turn the fritters to cook on the bottom side. Cook till golden , drain and serve with your favorite chutney.
