Juices

Pineapple & Carrot Juice

1 pineapple cut into pieces
1/2 carrot
small piece of ginger
2-3 Tblsp honey ( if you are health conscious, if not sugar is fine)
1 cup chilled water
Ice cubes ( I prefer to crush it)
Blend all together pour in a glass, garnish with a thin slice of pineapple stuck on the rim of the glass. Enjoy!
Tip: The carrot reduces the sourness of the pineapple.

Honeydew Juice

1 honeydew, peeled and chopped
3/4  cup sugar
water to blend

This is a thirst quenching juice especially well chilled!

Blend all the ingredients together and chill. The amount of water will depend on how thich or thin you want your juice to be.

Watermelon lemonade

Good on a hot humid day!!

1/4 watermelon,peeled, seeded and chopped.

6 lemon juice
1 cup sugar
3-4 cups water
sprig of mint for garnish
Make a simple sugar syrup with sugar and water, I like to boil it together for a minute or two. Cool it completely.
Blend the sugar syrup, water melon and the lemon juice.
If you like your juices smooth then sieve or serve as is. Chill. Pour in a glass and garnish with mint sprig or rub the rim of the glass with lemon and coat it with sugar.
You can substitute watermelon with strawberries, blueberries or raspberries for a different flavor.
