Mocha Cake
175 grams butter
200 grams sugar
200 grams baking flour
1 tsp baking pd
4 eggs
1/2 cup coffee mixed with water
3 Tbsp cocoa pd Tip: replace 3 Tbsp flour with cocoa
3-4 Tbsp sour cream/ yogurt
Heat oven at 180 C/340 F. Prepare an 8″ cake pan ( round)
Mix butter, sugar, flour, baking pd and cocoa till it resembles breadcrumbs. In another bowl whisk eggs, coffee mixture and yogurt. Beat in the egg mixture with the flour mixture. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30 minutes or when touched the cake springs up.
Cool and frost.
Coffee Buttercream Frosting
200 grams butter
500 grams icing sugar
4-5 Tbsp whipping cream
1 Tbsp instant coffee.
Beat the above ingredients together and ice the cake.
Serve with hot cup of coffee.
